The closing of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to preserve more than 7,000 acres of contiguous land, protected from urban sprawl.

I am very concerned that reindustrializing the plant could significantly weaken cleanup efforts and negatively impact natural areas like the Baraboo Hills and Devil’s Lake.

Please support setting aside these lands for ecological restoration, outdoor recreation, sustainable agriculture, and wildlife habitat.
